ECS Sudanese Development and Relief Agency (SUDRA) one year strategic program plan

and budget for 2006

Location of Project

This is a capacity building program for SUDRA and 2 projects for each of 8 dioceses (of the

north: Khartoum, Juba, Renk, Wau, Malakal, El-Obeid, Port-Sudan and Kadugli completed

before the peace.  At the Synod it was discussed that this will be expanded to include all

dioceses in the ECS now that the war has ended)

Who will do the work of the project?

The work of the project is to fund two high priority projects of each of the

above 8 dioceses. They are as follows:

1 Opening of computer training center in Khartoum Diocese: $13,360

2 Conducting of leadership training in Khartoum Diocese:  $11, 398

3 Opening of secondary school in Juba Diocese: $823.163

4 Initiating broiler and layer project in Juba Diocese:  $14,2212

5 Opening of Melut basic school in Renk Diocese: $30,252

6 Initiation of poultry farm in Renk Diocese: $23,817

7 Opening of health center in Malakal Diocese: $68,832

8 Opening of pre basic school in Malakal Diocese: $46,062

9 Starting of brick laying in Kadugli Diocese:  $!8, 491

10 Building a store in Kadugli Diocese: $12,267

11 Opening of basic school in Port-Sudan: $26,568

12 Opening of computer training center in Port-Sudan: $9,747

13 Training of Church leaders in El-Obeid Diocese: $7,393

14 Opening of Adult Education program in El-Obeid Diocese: $9,414

15 Conducting HIV/AIDS campaign in Wau Diocese: $9,525

16 Conducting tie and dye project in Wau Diocese: $6,065

Accountability:  How will receipt of the funds be acknowledged and how will progress be reported? 

15% of the funds listed for each project will go to SUDRA for overhead running costs.  SUDRA will be responsible for the receipt of the funds and reporting to the donor as well as evaluation of the project.
