Rumbek Traditional and Cultural Heritage will account to donors. Account report will be written and sent to the donor agency every 3 months. The report will give status of donated fund usage. |

Project Summary: |
This project is meant to strengthen the capacity of existing traditional values. There is a need to preserve rich cultural practices which during the over 20 years of war have not been observed and a whole generation of Sudanese are ignorant of . Southern Sudan and Rumbek, specifically, wants the world to know of its culture. There has been no prior attempt to strengthen and uphold the standard of the Sudanese heritage. Accomplished through: traditional dancing and competitions; documenting their stories; advertising some of the herbs used by various tribes; Sudanese marriages; peace and harmony building techniques within tribes; food values and traditional dishes; cortege; opening museum to preserve the heritage; promoting traditional attire and handcrafts. |
