Project Summary:

The Society was established in 1998 at the time when indigenous women in Nuba Mountains were in dire need of self-reliance.   It was established by Church women group in the region the structure of the society was built to enable the indigenous and Church women and partners to respond to capacity building, socio-economic development, health and education needs of the poor women in the area.  Through the seven years and due to the continuation of instability in Nuba Mountains, the structure has not expanded.  Today the society is mainly dealing with capacity building among Church and community women.
