The Diocesan leadership shall account for all the funds of this project as soon as the car is purchased. The Diocese has a qualified technical person; he is now our Advisor/Planner and charged with the responsibility of writing narrative and financial reports of the various projects and send directly to our respective donors. The financial report includes relevant company receipts where the car has been purchased. It is now made a rule that all the financial transactions of every individual project must receive an audit by an independent firm to guarantee proper accountability and transparency in the general utilization of the organization’s funds. |

Project Summary: |
Bishops in Sudan need a vehicle. Bishop Amidi is supposed to be visiting the internal displacement camps inside Sudan and the refugee camps in Kenya and Uganda to visit people from Lainya. He needs to evangelize the unreached areas and carry out baptism of children, confirmation, and ordination in remote parts of the Diocese. Development projects need supervision in construction and carry through. Without frequent supervisory trips, the best of projects go astray as has been proven elsewhere when schools have been built but not monitored or inspected on a regular basis. A vehicle would be emergency transportation for sick people to referral hospitals.
The proposal finishes with a photo of the bishop on his bicycle on a rough path/road. It would be hard to go more than a few miles on a bike. |
