Project Summary:

This is a request formulated by me, Nancy Frank, for the Diocese of El-Obeid, Western Sudan where Darfur is located.  In this area there are mostly Muslims (90%) while Episcopalians number about 1000.  Most are rural and nomadic.   A diocesan office has been built, fenced and a concrete chapel which has been outgrown.  4 adult and Sunday school classes have been opened in El Obeid as has also happened in Elfashir.  There needs to be 3 more church centers created in Darfur.  All diocesan staff are volunteer.  A financial grant by someone in the US might help this struggling diocese which is trying to do much with very little financial assistance.
