Who will do the work of the project?

The Diocesan Development Committee will be in charge of the project. 

It wants to train 30 extensionists (each will supervise 30 farmers). 

Each farmer must bring 2 oxen (bulls) for 3-4 weeks training.

Project Summary:

In order to increase an individual farmer’s ability to produce food in quantity to feed his family and allow for extra to be stored, a farmer must be able to farm more than the usual 3-5 acres to more approximately 10-15 acres.  By improving the farmer’s ability to weed and produce a surplus, there will be some security against draught and failure of crops once in a while.  The project will benefit the people of Rumbek Diocese irrespective on religion or gender.  Priority will be given to widows, disabled orphans, returnees and Pastors.
