Project Summary:

It is estimated that 5% of the people in Southern Sudan are aware HIV/AIDS.  The objectives of the project are: 1) to prepare a diocesan strategic plan in collaboration with the 6 provincial clusters that represent the 24 dioceses of Sudan  2) Prepare a diocesan policy for the HIV/AIDS program   3) Visit other dioceses to observe their HIV/AIDS awareness  4) Develop and print posters in different languages  5) Identify and appoint HIV/AIDS coordinators at the Archdeaconry level.

6) Organize 6 youth workshops on preventative and awareness campaign in the diocese 7) Write an provide accurate reports on accomplished aspects of the project as well as on the progress of activities to donors and beneficiaries 8) Continuous monitoring and participatory evaluation  of program activities.  The target population comprises of: church leaders, church lay groups, community leaders, Mother’s Union, women’s groups, school teachers, youth groups, organized forces
