Project Summary:

 

This is a long, comprehensive proposal which cannot be summarized in a paragraph. Each numbered item is described in much greater detail in the full proposal. It includes:

1) Relief Aid.  Due to draught and pest infestation, there is much hunger.  Further plans for recovery socio economic activities are included.

2)Post War trauma-healing program.  Since the Comprehensive Peace Agreement there has been serious inter-ethnic conflicts  within Mundri which have claimed more than 300 lives. Trauma healing workshops are needed.

3)Education.  Literacy programs as well as the goal of 25 church schools

4)Theological Training programs.  Development of Ngalamu Divinity College as well as Theological Education by Extension services.

5) Evangelism program  Musical system, generator, minibus

6) Diocesan headquarters reconstruction.  Bishop’s office, fencing, Church guesthouse for income generation

7)Church clinic.  to be established in 16 parishes of the dioceses. To include AIDS/HIV awareness program as well as information about other health problems…..basic hygiene, sexually transmitted diseases, and other common water born diseases.

8) Organic Church farming project.  Meant to model good organic farming procedures to assist farmer to transform from subsistence farming to larger scale.  Includes tick timber plantation program as well as mixed fruit orchard.

9) Gender education program. Need to have capacity building workshops and start self-income generation macro finance projects for women

10)Moru language project.  Linguistic research for Moru language.  Production of Moru language required primary education text and literacy books.  Much more included in this.

11)Honey processing industry.  Could be a micro finance industry for a self-sustainable Church
