
Richard J. Jones
Richard J. Jones has taught Mission & World Religions at Virginia Theological Seminary since 1988. Born in Washington, D.C., he taught English as a foreign language in Viet-Nam and served as a parish priest in Ecuador, Alabama, and Virginia. He studied the Qur’an in Toronto with Mahmoud Ayoub and Hadith interpretation in Selly Oak, England with Muhammad Ibrahim Surty. He has visited the Episcopal Church of the Sudan on three occasions. At home in Alexandria, Virginia, he gardens and goes to the movies with his wife Jody.
